On the Farm Cards Carta Bella

Farm Fresh Fun: Creating Charming Cards with Carta Bella's "On the Farm" Collection

There's nothing quite like the joy of discovering a delightful surprise in your crafting order! When my package from Echo Park arrived with Carta Bella's "On the Farm" 6 x 6 paper pad tucked inside as a free gift, I couldn't help but smile. Sometimes the best treasures are the ones we weren't expecting!

This adorable collection is absolutely bursting with charm – from sweet barnyard animals to vintage tractors and cozy farmhouse patterns. The moment I flipped through those beautifully designed papers, I knew I had to dive right in and start creating. There's something so heartwarming about farm-themed designs that just makes you want to craft all day long!

I ended up making two cards that captured all the rustic sweetness of country living, and I'm excited to share the recipes with you so you can create your own farmyard magic.

Card #1: Country Charm

  • Base: Basic White cardstock (8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4")
  • Beige Mat: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
  • Focal Image: 3" x 4"
  • Narrow strips: 3/8" x 6"
  • Tractor strip: 7/8" x 6"
  • Plaid strip: 2" x 6"

Card #2: Farmhouse Sweet

  • Base: Basic White cardstock (8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4")
  • Focal Mat: 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" (feel free to trim this down as needed – trust your eye!)
  • Focal Image: 3" x 3"
  • Green Plaid: 3 1/2" x 5 1/2"
  • Punched Piece: 1 1/2" x 6"
  • Ribbon or narrow paper strip to span the card width

Crafting tip: If you're using ribbon, layer your green plaid and punched piece first, then add the ribbon to conceal any seams before adhering everything to your card base. It creates such a polished, professional look!

Both cards turned out absolutely precious – there's something so satisfying about watching these farm-fresh designs come together! I'm already dreaming up ways to use the rest of this wonderful paper pad. Maybe some gift tags for homemade jam? Or perhaps a mini album showcasing our local farmers market adventures?

The beauty of a collection like this is that it sparks so much creativity and brings back those cozy, simple pleasures of country life – even if you're crafting from the heart of the city!

I hope these card ideas inspire you to create something special too. There's always room for more handmade love in this world, don't you think?

Happy crafting, friends! Beth
